Sharing God's New Covenant with the World Since 1975

I want my "5 year testimony" written in 1980 in the New Yorker after True Father's 60th b'day celebration

Thanks David for trying to help us to track down our 5 year testimonies at the History Committee archive.

My name at that time was Paula Petersen (my maiden name).  I was originally the American missionary to Sierra Leone, West Africa but, due to a kick out situation, was also working in Liberia, West Africa. In 1978 I was briefly assigned to Trinidad and Tobago in the Carribean and in 1979 to Haiti.

On the occasion of True Father's 60th birthday many 1975 missionaires came to New York to attend the celebration at the New Yorker Grand Ballroom.  At that time, Father instructed us to write 5 year testimonies of our 1975-1980 missionary experiences.  Father named those testimonies "THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES".  We were instructed to hand write our testimonies in notebooks and turn them in to the World Mission Department.  There was no opportunity to have photo copies made of our hand written testimonies.  Father mentioned that he wanted True Children to read the testimonies.  It has been 30 years and we don't know what has become of those testimonies.  I remember writing 100 pages and I want to use that testimony in a book I am planning to write that will include Father's words to the missionaries.

If you know Professor Oh at SMU, (I'm sorry I don't have his contact information) he told me that the testimonies are at the World Mission HQ in Seoul.  He hasn't gotten back to me about how to get my hands on my testimony although he has my email and hand phone number.  It's summertime so I don't see him on campus. Another professor who lives in the same apartment building with him in Cheonan will ask him again about the testimonies.

I pray that you can have success in finding the testimonies and helping us to get copie

Hello Paula,

Jonatha Johnson at the NY WMD transcribed all those testimonies (including mine). She once told me that it was a profound experience for her. Unfortunately, Jonatha now tells me that they were misplaced, lost or whatever. She does not know what happened to them. I suspect that they are in files boxes somewhere, and will hopefully one day turn up.
