Re: No One Has Suffered As Much As God

Jim,

Did you ever see those Iranian martyrs walking through the streets of Tehran flogging themselves with whips? They flog themselves until they bleed--they get a thrill out of it. Somehow, it makes them feel holy. I suppose those martyrs could say that no one suffers as much as they do---but----they did it to themselves.

If God is omniscent and omnipotent---sits on the circle of eternity, knows the beginning from the end, is timeless and eternal and is literally billions and billions of years old--beyond the comprehension of time--as well as being infinite-----and He created puny little human beings on some planet far out in some little Milky Way galaxy---------would it be even within the realm of any reasonableness that He made some sort of mistake when He created human beings with the possibility of error that leads to sin----and because of his mistakes in the creation---caused himself to suffer because his creation did not do what they were supposed to do---even though He gave them personal freedom? Would great God do such a thing and if so---why? Would you create something that would go haywire if you knew that it would cause you suffering?

Think larger; more deeply; and with a broader understanding about the big picture. How does anyone know whether God suffers or not? Jesus always said, "be of good cheer and rejoice!" "Be not afraid."

"Be exceedingly glad". God's values are Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. God is respite in His glory, His serenity, and His love. He may very well grieve for his children, but not every inhabited world is a world of sin, evil, pain, and suffering. And even Earth is also a place of beauty and love. The evil on earth is a small dark spot on a large white background. Rev. Moon grew up in a very difficult environment---just like the jews in the concentration camps. Of course---how could they be joyful when the external situation was so difficult? But don't you see, because he had a deep heart of love and only saw suffering; he came to believe that God must be a suffering God. But our Earth lives are only a flash of light in eternity. As tough as man has it here-----God knows that eternity is a place of joy and happiness and those difficult experiences we have here actually prepare our hearts and characters so that we can become compassionate, unconditionally forgiving and loving spiritual beings.

Stop focusing on the negatives all the time; and stop patronizing God. He knows what He is doing. He is in charge of His own Creation---and it is going exactly as He has mandated it to go. So, get over the sob stories and the phony sympathy. It's unbecoming True Children of the Father of all.
