The Plan of Restoration Goes On

When we went out to the world in 1975, we went to further the goals of world unification of religion. I worked for the Madison Square Garden event at which Rev. Moons message was the "The New Future of Christianity". Christianity is based on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today, we received that gospel as handed down by second hand accounts from early Christians. The teachings were not canonized into a single text until 340 years AD, and it was another 400 years before the book was able to be printed and mass produced.

Along came Rev. Moon. He didn't discount the Bible but rather used it in his revelation, the Divine Principle. If you read the early Korean speeches that Father made, it showed that he was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ. Only later did he claim to superscede him.

Today, the UC movement is in disarray. There is bitter infighting going on within the first family itself. And, the teachings of the Church always talk about the importance of "Unity" in order to prevent evil from inserting itself. If there cannot be unity within the core, how can the Church ever hope to survive and grow and not get invaded?

Since 1986, when I was a UC missionary to Saudi Arabia (6.5 years), I have been immersed in the study of another modern revelation---The Urantia Book. The second half of this 2000 page book is about the Life and Teaching of Jesus of Nazareth. This book does not advocate any human superstars or even a new religion. Rather, it says that Michael of Nebadon (who manifested himself on the earth plane in human form as the person of Jesus Christ---and his consort, Nebadonia, also known as The Holy Spirit, is still on His throne. When Jesus said that he would send his Sprit of Truth at Pentecost, he did just that.

And today, the spiritual universe is alive with activity. Celestial beings are actively working on our sphere to uplift the world through an enhanced standard of living---where God is present in our daily lives.

God is still calling for the hearts of his "spirit-led" children. I know that many of you are now living secular lives. The spark of hope is still within you. And, in your own time, through the guiding of the spirit within, you are destined to again emerge to walk in the direct presence of the Father.

I encourage all to fan the flames of the fire of the zeal that we all shared as followers of Rev. Moon.

Nothing has been lost and our hearts are continuing to be prepared to receive eternal life in the service of mankind.
