Sharing God's New Covenant with the World Since 1975
I spent 13 years in the Unification Church. Because of my life of consecration to an ideal, I often felt much love coming into my heart directly from God. I now realize that God's love works on the basis of the sincere attitude of his children. Even though they may be following a false path---because of their life of faith, their willingness and desire to follow God's will above their own desires---God will be present in their lives.
Just look around at all the devoted adherents to the worlds religions---they all have stars in their eyes, love in their hearts for their particular spiritual head, and are totally committed to their belief systems.
Without question; each devoted religious follower believes that they are following The True Path to God.
(and some devoted followers of religions are so adamant in their beliefs that they consider anyone that believes differently to be evil---isn't that right Jim Rigney?)
So, are the followers of all the religions all wrong or are they all right? This is a question that can only be answered by each individual earth sojourner, in their own way, and according to their own hearts. It is perfectly okay for us to share our own personal spiritual journeys with each other because that's how we grow. The spirit-filled brotherhood is a community of believers in a God of higher values.
Any religion that teaches about the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man; in otherwords; love, charity, kindness, The Free Will Gift of the Father, and the family of man---is to be respected.
A religion that uses fear, guilt, the threat of Satan invading our lives, the worship of the spiritual leadership, so-called "Sacred Families" which must be attended to---and other forms of coercement----which harm the spirit in man----should be avoided. A religion which demotes Jesus Christ as a failure and had to be replaced by another---should be able to withstand a fair and honest examination. At no time, should the followers of a religion be asked to give up their own free will and told that they risk being invaded by Satan if they ask questions. Unreasoned Animal Fear contains great potential evil and no man that represents the Creator would ever think of using such devices in order to control their followers. God is in charge, has been in charge, and will always be in charge---forever and ever.
The DP uses many Biblical references. It interprets the Bible. If it truly believes that the Bible is the Holy Word of God----then it must also believe that Jesus is all that He says He is. And if He isn't, why did he not say it in the Bible? When he made his post-resurrection visits---why did he not say that He failed and was sending another person to complete his mission? Answer that one and I'll give you a buck.
