Sharing God's New Covenant with the World Since 1975
Jesus Christ came and lived on earth for almost 34 years. He was the example of what a "Christlike" person should be like. Doesn't this make sense? So, if another "Christlike" person came along--especially to fulfill the mission that the original Christ couldn't accomplish----shouldn't this Christ do all that the first Christ did and more?
This should be a good way to determine when Christ comes back again----shouldn't it?
The first Christ forgave sins. Did you ever hear anyone forgiving sins? The first Christ healed the sick. Did you ever seen people being healed by another Christ? The first Christ lived a life of service---giving out all he had to the poor. Did you see this happen? The first Christ raised people from the dead. Has that happened again? The first Christ said plainly----"I and my Father are one. If you see me, you see the Father". Did you ever see another Christ say this? Why not?
Down through the history after Christ, Christians spent their lives in service to others---the saints that served the poor, healed the sick, provided education where there was no schools. Jesus said "if you love me, feed my sheep". Is this the focus of the UC? Or, is the focus to conduct a PR campaign to disseminate a religious philosophy.
Jesus said, "my Kingdom is not of this world." Did he want ultimately to be crowned on earth as a king and queen?
When you read semi-accurate accounts of Jesus words as portrayed by the New Testament writers, you will notice that Jesus always speaks about Heavenly Father" and "The Kingdom of Heaven". While he did declare his position as The Son of God-----his message was always about the Father.
This is quite different than an autobiography which contains the world "I" several hundred times. I did this, I did that, I thought this, I thought that. I prayed, I suffered, I wept. I, I, I, I, I. This is where the problem comes in.
If you read closely through all the speeches, and follow them from the early 50's, you will notice how they change from a deep heart for Jesus and God to a place of "how great I am". The greater a man progresses in the vast universe----the smaller He must neccessarily feel-----as He realizes the magnitude and the grandeur of the Universal Father. We are all brothers and sisters in God's family. And thus, we need to respect each other, from the highest to the lowest.
Even Jesus, The Son of God-----never placed himself above his followers. You never heard him say that we are pitiful, fallen, of Satan's lineage. Jesus never said that he was sinless and we are fallen. He never claimed that his own family was sacred---instead saying, "woman, what have you to do with me?" ---- when she stood in the way of his mission. And then he said, "he that does the will of my Father are my brothers and my sisters". Jesus never sought special priveleges either for himself or his family by virtue of his spiritual position.
That is why it is relatively easy to determine what "The Will of God is". Simply put----it is the way with the most love in it.
Contrast the life of religious leaders with Jesus standard. Explore the way people such as Amma and Yogananda, Mother Teresa, even Budda, and Ghandi lived--------because that is the standard of a parents unconditional love for his children and unconditional love for brothers and sisters.
Even the great God Almighty----constantly pours out His love and energy constantly. Jesus represents God's heart of love. "If anyone comes and says, he is here or he is there"---evaluate them by the standard of God's unconditional love.
