Sharing God's New Covenant with the World Since 1975

Jim,

Don't you remember the Divine Principle and what it says about "individual truth bodies?"

 from: Unification Thought

"For humans, God's purpose of creation refers to the purpose for the whole and the purpose for the individual. The purpose for the whole is to give joy to the whole (namely, humankind, nation, tribe, and so on, whereas the purpose for the individual is to obtain joy for oneself. Therefore, people are supposed to have their own joy while pleasing God and the whole. Artistic activity is derived from God's creation of the universe. The activity of creation starts with the purpose for the whole, that is, it starts with an intention to please others. The activity of appreciation, on the other hand, starts with the purpose for the individual, that is, it starts with the intention of obtaining joy for oneself."

Your statement, according to Unification Thought----has to be false. But, I'm not surprised. Have you not heard that, "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing?" When we are always locked in our heads, (where fear, criticism, resentment----the conditioning that we received from others during our lives resides)----and we have not acquired the maturity to render viewpoints that are tempered with love and understanding----God's parental heart----we fall prey to living in a world where we make strong judgments and pronouncements on just about anything and everything. Even though we may not know what we are talking about----(because it is coming from our ego)----we think we do. But, because our subconscious knows the truth about our unknowing----we vacillate between offering sage advice and condemning others as being satanic. And, of course, we always finish up with, "God Bless you". And if the truth is known, our minds are probably vacillating between feeling superior and holy and feeling guilty and judged.

Because we all have a divine spirit living in the core of our being----when our heart is not in the right place----our lives can be a living hell. We are made to survive, no matter what----and so we fight on; waging the battle. If we could only realize that heaven and hell are not "out there" in other good people. Heaven and hell is a battle that we fight within ourselves every day. Check out Divine Principle and you will see that this is true.

So Jim---I'm not your enemy, nor the enemy of Rev. Moon, because I know that we are all brothers, no matter how misguided we may be. The reason that I know werefore I speak is simply because I have had to walk through the fire myself. I have had to face my demons. I have had my failures and victories, just like you. I understand that I am only 1 finite, created, puny human being in a very large universe. My desire is to sacrifice my own nature on the alter of God's mercy and grace. I can't do it on my own. I freely admit that. It's not about me. It never was. It is about Him---the Father of All, and His Son Jesus Christ. Whether I or you believe that Rev. Moon is the 2nd Coming or not, will not change God's primacy---because God is eternally unchanging, omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient (more DP).

How you can determine when you are growing spiritually---is when your heart expands so that you overflow with love for your enemies. At that point, you could not condemn them anymore. Love conquers all things. When you begin to perceive the love of God within your soul----He will be all that matters to you.

When God said that "we must be perfect as He is perfect", he meant that we need to become all that we can be, what we were created to be----individual truth bodies. Just like snowflakes---each one of us is a representation of some unique idea of creation from the Father---and no two are alike. We should all agree on the common aspects of universal truth and that's what society must be organized around. But, beyond that---no man should stand in judgment on the eternal value of another's soul. That is a right that belongs only to the Ancients of Days.
