Sharing God's New Covenant with the World Since 1975
There is a division between North Korea and South Korea. South Korea is a bustling industrial democratic hub while North Korea is a socially backward, impoverished country. Entire generations of people have grown up under ruthless dictators. As a result, they are brainwashed so much that all they can do is hate. They live in an atmosphere of FEAR--controlled by evil men. South Korea, however, clearly shows what living in freedom is like. The successive leaders of North Korea all claim "divinity"---the "Great Leaders" and the "Great Successors". Everyone knows it's ridiculous and unearned---their actions not representing their words.
In order for North Korea to see the dawn of a new day, something will have to happen, to free the spiritual captives. It could take several generations to right this wrong; until children being taught hatred can grow up and consciously change their views; and they won't be able to do this until the human oppression is lifted.
This situation should be a good lesson for us--about the meaning of personal freedom to worship in our own way, to live our lives the way we believe God guides us---but all the while, respecting other peoples freedoms and beliefs. Since God never forces us to believe anything---how can we believe that we can do that to other people? For this reason---a theocratic government (such as they have in Iran with the Mullahs) can never be the answer. And it was for this reason that the Founding Fathers wrote into the Constitution---the Separation of Church and State. It was not to get God our of our lives, but to give us more freedom to Worship Him as the Spirit uniquely leads each one of us.
When Jim Rigney so adamantly makes his broad declarations about truth and reality---discerning disciples can instantly see that his words don't match his character. We can talk of True Love---but unless we embody it---it becomes meaningless. When a person Talks True Love, and then accuses others of being evil and satanic---this is where the hypocrisy starts. A man of True love emits compassion and caring. This is why Father seldom accuses the members. It's so funny that while Father does not usually accuse the members---Jim Rigney believes that he is so advanced that he takes it upon himself to make sweeping judgments about people--who is evil, who is good. What would the world be like if Jim Rigney was in charge? I think it would probably turn out to be another North Korea.
