Well Jim; it looks like we have a full-blown discussion going here between two "James". I'm enjoying the discussion; and I hope that other's will be inspired to join in too. But, can we first agree on some basic understandings? I accept you as a child of God that has dedicated his life to sharing the good news of salvation with others----in whatever way you perceive that saving grace. Regardless of whether I intellectually agree with your assesment of truth----I believe in your heart. Because I trust my own heart; I am blessed to eventually be able to understand your true motivation-----and I find it good. If we merely try to figure out who's right on how many angels can dance on the head of a pin----we won't reach any unity.

You know that I have been a student of Divine Principle and have read the book many times; have attended many workshops; and have read every speech from Father that I could find. I read all his books. I have prayed and prayed. Before that, I was a born-again Christian and have  quite a bit of knowledge about the Bible. Did you know that I started earnestly reading The Urantia Book in 1986. The Urantia Book (Truthbook.com) is also a revelation----2000 pages----but not to any humans that you would ever hear about. The Urantia Book was received in the 1930's and published around 1956. The second half of the book is about the Life and Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. To me, it leaves the Bible in the dust----as well as ANY other book. It does not seek to create churches, or spiritual leaders, or movements. The universe is filled with intelligent beings. One thing that people tend to forget; is that Earth---is just one planet in a near infinite universe. The universe is thriving with life on many different levels of reality. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our little world; and assign it and ourselves great importance. If you believe in Lucifer---then you would have to accept that there are  higher spiritual beings in the universe because Lucifer was quite a high being before he fell in love with himself and fell. The Urantia Book helped me to begin to understand the big picture----and what place the citizens of earth have. The book calls us "gas-breathing sex creatures".

"we were created a little lower than the angels" (Bible passage), but we have the potential to become eternal sons and daughters of God. 

When you found the Divine Principle, you had to take a leap of faith in order to accept it as a revelation.

You are now being called again to explore the fantastic work of The Urantia Book. One of the problems with Christianity is that they believe that the Bible has everything they need and anything outside of it is false or even evil. Let us not make the same mistake and block our minds from further growth by believing that  we now have all the answers we need. I understand loyalty to a religion---reference the Jews at the time of Jesus, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddism. World unity is being blocked because each religion believes that they have the ultimate truth and they are the chosen people.

I challenge you to read the Urantia Book, and to go through it, disproving what it says as you do with my writings. I'm ready to hear some alternate arguments. The Urantia Book is not the final word, any more than the Bible is. As man grows, God continually gives him new truth. Keep an open mind and remember---dump the fear. Fear is the great paralyzer of mankind. The universe is friendly. God is friendly. While  evil may still exist on this planet------Lucifer and those of his staff that did not repent----are locked up. For those that love God---no evil can influence them unless they will it. That is liberation.
