Where is God--When Evil is Going On?

God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. That means that He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and present everywhere throughout the universe. He said in the Bible that "he calls all of the stars by name; knows when every sparrow falls; and counts the very hairs on our heads".

So, if God is all this----and evil is happening on the earth causing millions of struggling mortals to suffer---why doesn't the loving God do anything about it?

The answer to this question solves a very great riddle: Because God is eternal---sitting on the circle of the past, present, and future---and because Earth is only a tiny little planet amongst the billions; and a young planet at that------It all must be part of God's Plan of Creation. To believe that God somehow was thwarted and overtaken by some evil being who took some of his children in the process is ludicrous.

And, to think that God is mad and as a result; human beings that had nothing to do with a default need to pay indemnity before God can take them back---is equally ludicrous.

When Jesus came, he told his disciple that if they desired to become his apostles "they would have to undergo rebirth and to face a severe test of loyalty". This was also the focus of Job's trials and tribulations. When Jesus talked about "rebirth of the spirit", he was not referring to an actual change of blood lineage from Satans lineage to Gods lineage. To believe this is to believe that God does not have full control of His creation. God, who can uphold the billions of galaxies---does not have full control?

Exellence demands endurance and challenges. If you want to become a Navy Seal----you will have to endure tremendous physical, mental, and emotional trauma---and overcome it. If you want to become an Olympic Gold Medal Winner, you will need to give everything you've got for years. God placed human beings on an earth subject to earthquakes, Tsunamis, forest fires, wild beasts, drought, extreme cold, flood, and diseases. He placed man into this environment in order to turn metal into gold, coal into diamonds----finite, selfish, animalistic humans into eternal divine spirits.

 

This is the reason that God allows evil to exist on the earth. God could stop it anytime He wants to. But God wants man, through the ages, to turn this world into the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth---a world of Light and Life. Through each person's life; brick by brick; together; we are creating that place. That is why all good men, no matter what religion they adhere to---must love each other and help each other to make a better world. We call ourselves Unificationists. If we are truly to be Unificationists---then we need to create Unity. Unity does not mean that we get everyone else to believe what we believe and do what we do. If God himself gave man the Free Will to make his own choices---how can any person think that they could possibly have all the answers for anyone elses life?

Newsflash! The world will not all rally around Father and join the UC. They have not done it yet, so, what makes you believe they will do it later? All we can do, is to keep our truth---give our lives up daily to the guiding of each of our indwelling spiritual compasses----seek to understand and love one more person----and spread light, love, and light to all we meet. That's how the world will eventually change for the better. Chase those rainbows!
