Sharing God's New Covenant with the World Since 1975
Jim Rigney,
I'm beginning to wonder if there is hope for a person that is so full of himself---that there is no way of having a two-way communication. If a person is so puffed up with his own pride that he is living in a parallel universe---I'n not even sure how God Himself could reach him. Jim represents all of the brainwashed bigots of history. He is not unlike the Jihadist, that would even blow himself up in order to kill as many of the infidels as possible. Jim does not have the ability for self-reflection, because he is too afraid of what he might see. And so, he goes on, pretending that he is some sort of wise seer; hiding behind textbooks with all due authority---handing out judgments about who is evil and who is God-Centered. Somehow, he thinks he has all the answers---for himself---and for everyone else. In Jim's mind, if someone dare have a different experience than him---that person must be a deceiver, an anti-Christ, and a liar. There are no other possibilties in Jim's frozen brain. He is unable to love, and probably unable to feel compassion and sympathy. Jim is a socio-path---and it's a good thing that he is in a church. Because who knows what would happen to him if he did not have any moral compass. I sincerely hope that someone in the Unification Church will get Jim the counseling that he so desperatly needs. Don't you think that Father or a senior church member should step in and get this man the help he needs?
Jim has dedicated his life to Father, up to this point. My recommendation is that the elders of the church be informed as to the seriousness of Jim's situation. Any church needs to be responsible for their members. And there must be church members that have couseling experience that could help Jim return to the reality of the physical world. Doesn't the UC have some organization by which it can work with its members to help them to open their hearts to people of other faith experiences?
Whether Jim wants to accept it or not; he does not understand the deep relationship that I have with God and Christ. And he does not understand my own personal dedication and love for building the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth as it is in Heaven. If he did, he would be more hesitant to place hateful labels on me. I'm okay with that, because nothing can shake my love for God. I am more concerned with Jim's soul. I'm hoping for the best for him and when I say, in the Name of Jesus Christ---I truly believe that He can heal Jim's pain.
