What is True Love?

Humans think and feel; which corresponds to their mind and their heart. Whenever disunity exists, it is because of what comes from the intellect. The heart-mind is what communicates with deity. Around us, are spiritual beings that do not live in our dimension. Microwaves can cook food, but we cannot see them. Divine Principle says that in the last days, the spirits will descend in order to get us to pay indemnity so that we both can grow and overcome sin. So, Divine Principle talks quite a bit about the spirit world, so we can assume that it exists. But, getting back to love----Divine Principle says that in the spirit world, we will breathe love. Love is God's energy; it's the way that the Universal Father communicates with His created beings. Our one goal in life is to develop the capacity of our hearts in order to feel God's love; the love of Christ; and express God's love through us to our brothers and sisters. That is what God's Creation Plan is all about. It makes perfect sense. If we could only grasp the immensity of the universe---billions and billions of light-years across with billions and billions of galaxies; each with billions of stars and potential planetary systems. Our little mixed up planet only became important because a Creator Son chose to incarnate her among the Jewish peoples. This Creator Son came to be born exactly as humans are born in the flesh as helpless babies. Jesus showed through his life----how to capture the heart of the Father; to learn to do His Will all the time; without sin. Jesus was an example of a True Man and a man of unconditional love and unconditional forgiveness. Here-in lies the secret of God's Plan of Creation for Man. Self-realized Masters are those who have fully opened their hearts so that divine love and truth can flow through them unimpeded by the illusion of the self-created defence barrier---the indominable EGO. The ego has a purpose, just like Choresterol does in the creation of hormones. The ego is a survival tool. It provides the motivation and the energy to fight the battles  of earth. But, sooner or later, usually through much pain and heartache; God causes the ego to slowly vanish. At this time; when we are ready to give up our very lives; and are rigorously tested on this point; we receive the life-changing event which brings us to  our knees before  the throne of our Father. Peace that passes all undertanding comes upon us; we are born again; as new people.

Our priorities change; our habits are more easily overcome; our criticism and judgement of others abates; our sympathetic heart becomes more dominant; and we find more and more ways to serve each person we come into contact with. Our hearts become filled with love; and we feel that we live in a friendly universe where everyone can be our friend. The overwhelming love that often overcomes us sometimes causes tears to stream down our faces. We find it easy to stay in the spiritual presence of our inner spirit; the spirit of Christ; and the presence of our Angels which attend, protect, and guide us.

As our heart grows, our perception of the spirit world grows; as we are learning to sense, with our spiritual senses; those loving beings that surround us, watching over us.

When we are really able to connect with deity; and we are willing to turn it all over; to give it all up; we will feel a constant, powerful surge of divine love flow through us. The idea that any spiritual being could replace the presence of God and have any power whatwoever is absurd. It's like watching a horror movie and getting caught up in that imaginery world. When we are totally connected to God, and live as temples where God can live-----we have no need for worry----fear. Fear is the great paralyzer of mankind. As much as possible; we need to live in a state of confidence, happiness, joy; a prayerful and meditative attitude; and of course always remembering to love unconditionally and forgive everyone, for everything, all the time----including ourselves. If we do this, we will live in the Present and our life will be a Present. The past is only history and the future has not arrived. We only have right now, at this moment. If we stay in the Presence; in the Present; we will not have prejudice, anger, or stress. We will have our challenges---but we can quickly spring back to a State of worship and gratitude.

Rather than remain in the  intellect and argue about what constitutes truth; we should remain in our hearts and remember that we are one family of man---like the song says----All Men Are Brothers.

What made Jesus so great----was his love. I once had a dream about Jesus when I was in the service at eighteen years old. Jesus was walking along the sand dunes with his robe and his camels. The next instant, I was kneeling at his feet and I felt overwhelming love. I was actually high for  about a week after that; before I slipped back into my lower self.

The purpose of life is to learn to give and to receive God's love. That is the Plan of Creation. The rest is just a support package; and expressions of truth, beauty, and goodness.
